The Irrepressibles

After the 2012 Bluebird Festival spoke of them in high terms, calling them “certainly one of the most innovative bands of the current music scene”, brut now has the pleasure of welcoming the art-pop orchestra from London in March. They will present their second album NUDE: a combination of electronic sounds, classical instruments, and the human voice as direct path into the unconscious. Jamie McDermott – singer and visual artist – combines extravagant choreography, light installations, and highly emotional texts in order to take the audience along a journey through the self and time. Inspired by musicians such as Chris Isaak, Neil Young, and Röyksopp – and often compared with monumental artists such as David Bowie or Antony and the Johnsons – “The Irrepressibles” will be performing a devoted and rebellious show.
