Michikazu Matsune/David Subal

In ihrem neuen Projekt mit dem Titel DANEBEN arbeiten Michikazu Matsune und David Subal mit einer Gruppe von in Österreich lebenden AsylwerberInnen. Entstanden ist eine intime Performance und Theaterinstallation, die die Lebenswege der Beteiligten in ihrem sozialpolitischen Umfeld porträtiert. Durch die Anwesenheit der AsylwerberInnen, durch das akustische Material und durch die angebotenen Texte kommt es zur Auseinandersetzung mit dem Gegenüber und den Kontexten dahinter. Im Schatten der Globalisierung ergibt sich eine Verlorenheit und noch nicht wiedergefundene Identitäten. Nicht ohne Humor versucht das Projekt, kulturelle Hindernisse und Klischees entlang des Themas Migration zu bearbeiten. Matsunes und Subals Arbeit mit Menschen aus unterschiedlichen Nationen und Kulturen lässt ein feines Spiel mit der Realität und ihrer Theatralität entstehen.

In their new project titled DANEBEN Michikazu Matsune and David Subal work with a group of asylum seekers who live in Austria. Developed is an intimate performance and theatre installation portraying the paths of life of the participants in their socio-political environments. Through the presence of asylum seekers, through the acoustic material and the accompanying texts, it brings the audience to confront the other and the context there-behind. In the shadow of globalisation lies forlornness and not yet found identities. Not without humour the project attempts to face cultural obstacles and clichés along the theme of migration. Matsune and Subal’s work with people from different nations and cultures creates a subtle examination of reality and its theatricality.
