MusikarbeiterInnenkapelle & Bolschewistische Kurkapelle Schwarz-Rot
The Bolschewistische Kurkapelle and the MusikarbeiterInnenkapelle make common cause in brut and continue the May Day celebrations on 2 May. The ca. 40-strong Vienna MusikarbeiterIn¬nenkapelle reinterprets the theme of “brass-band and marching music” for the urban area with a great deal of irony, fondness for experiment and cultivated dilettantism. The programme includes trashy techno and pop cover versions with precarious verve. The Berlin Bolschewistische Kurkapelle Schwarz-Rot consists of 15 musicians who transform workers’ songs into punk rock, rock works into polka and folk songs into rap. Both bands on one evening promise to burst the brut stage. More brass is not possible. Afterwards, there is a DJ line-up with the DJs Kasatschok, Druncle (Berlin) and Larissa and DJVapcici (Vienna). www.musikarbeiterkapelle.net;http://bolschewistischekurkapelle.org
