Andreas Dorau
Andreas Dorau, known for his 1981 “Neue Deutsche Welle”-hit Fred vom Jupiter celebrates his 50th birthday this year with his impressive ninth album Aus der Bibliothèque and a gigantic two-part work show. For the concert in brut, apart from well-known hits, Dorau and his band also bring along tenacious new earworms, above all the hit Flaschenpfand. The inspiration for Dorau’s new sunshine melodies is this time provided by a Hamburg library. Here Dorau chose albums according to their covers, was inspired by their melodies, looped and decorated his songs with his characteristically brilliantly banal and simultaneously philosophical lyrics. The result is a pop album full of the typical Dorau-style humour and his bizarre lyrics. All that is left to say is: “Fli-Fli-Fla-Fla Flaschenpfand!“ www.andreasdorau.com or www.facebook.com/andreasdorau
