sauna 2010 - Aufguss 3: MixedGroups

Sauna deluxe, part three: After 2006 and 2008 the exhibition trilogy now returns more excessive than ever, celebrating a sweaty large-scale art programme at three weekends. Different approaches and positions in young contemporary art will be shown in three steam baths/focal points dedicated to the classic gender separation in sauna culture – women’s sauna with WomenArtists, men’s sauna with MenArtists and mixed sauna with MixedGroups – in a sauna expressly set up in the bar area. For this series, the artist and curator Karl Killian draws on his large network of fine, experimental and media artists, musicians, performers, composers, artist groups, sound artists and DJs. In addition there will also be an open call, so you can expect lots of surprises and sweaty visitors!
