Ann Liv Young schlüpft erneut in ihre Rolle als geschwätzige, hinreißende, manische Südstaatlerin Sherry, die schon die brutproduktion X Wohnungen um einige schmutzige Details bereichert hat. Diesmal ist Sherry Cinderella – das bedeutet Gender-Trouble in Disneyland. Wie schon in Snow White (2006) wird Ann Liv Young dem Stoff neue Facetten jenseits von Gut und Böse abgewinnen: Im Märchenklassiker der Gebrüder Grimm ist Aschenputtel einem enormen Konkurrenzdruck ausgesetzt und ihrer Stiefmutter und deren Töchtern gnadenlos ausgeliefert. Nur mithilfe einer Fee kann sie ihren Prince Charming angeln. Bei Ann Liv Young ist Sherry/Cinderella Mitte 40, fasziniert von der weiblichen Macht, überzeugt, dass Frauen ein starkes Geschlecht sind, und gar nicht so sicher, dass ihr ein Prinz zu ihrem Glück fehlt. Sherry/Cinderella ist dabei wie immer dreist, dominant und aufdringlich und eigentlich auch ziemlich schmuddelig. Mit Hits von Aerosmith und Britney Spears im Ghettoblaster versucht sie, sich ein wenig „fit for feminism“ zu machen.

This time around, Sherry is Cinderella – this means gender-trouble in Disneyland. As with Show White (2006), Ann Liv Young will again explore new facets to the material beyond good and evil: In the fairytale classic of Brothers Grimm, Cinderella is faced with an enormous pressure of competition and is hopelessly at the mercy of her stepmother and her stepmother’s daughters. It is only through the help of a fairy that Cinderella manages to hook Prince Charming. In Ann Liv Young’s take on the story, Cinderella is in her mid-40s, fascinated by female power, convinced that women are a strong sex, and not entirely sure she really misses a Prince Charming in her life. Sherry/Cinderella is bold, dominant and brash and, actually, also quite skanky. With hits by Aerosmith and Britney Spears in her ghettoblaster, she tries to make herself “fit for feminism”.
