Ausbrennen – Songs von der Selbstverwertung oder Melodien für den Feierabend
Every year a growing number of people suffer from the ‘fashionable complaint’ or widespread disease of “burnout”. Most of them are really at their most productive age. Yet the economic damage is enormous; experts quarrel about definitions, causes, actions, therapies. All social life is informed by an entrepreneurial spirit. Every day is dedicated to working toward self-realisation; in this context, counterparts become competitors, a circle of friends is now the network. The burning worker is the worker of the present. And if this worker isn’t burning yet, then he or she must catch fire.
Ausbrennen – Songs von der Selbstverwertung oder Melodien für den Feierabend [Burning Out - Songs About Self-Exploitation or Melodies for Quitting Time] is a concert, live-radio play, and performance, is a struggle for quitting time for burning and burnt-out lone fighters, is an attempt for a new workers’ song. Music! Music!
