Robert Pfaller
Die Herrschaft der Knechte
Cultural scientist Robert Pfaller reports about the phenomenon of post-politics: decisions are replaced by administrative measures and governments by “experts”. Generally, executives are superseded by consultants, which also holds true for the arts. This further makes a general problem of social reality obvious: in Modernism, enlightenment consisted of replacing blind decision-making with fact-bound assessment. However, in Postmodernism this fact-bound assessment itself causes blindness because the truth of the matter is that it’s a clandestine decision.
