VELAK Gala #81
Konzertreihe für experimentelle Musik
The 81st VELAK Gala focuses on psycho-acoustic phenomena and sound activism. Australian artist Adam Donovan, who lives in Vienna, presents a metaphysical sound environment with highly developed interactive sound robots, the psychophysics machines. The duo Keiko Uenishi and Bernd Klug is dedicated to improvisation between electronics and feedback contrabass. Uenishi works as composer, activist and researcher between Vienna and Brooklyn and is member of the SHARE music network. The New York-based contrabassist Klug plumbs the depths of his instruments’ interiors, musical forms and role models. Both are additionally concerned with sound installations and the auditory design of social and culturally charged spaces. The evening will be completed by two further acts from the electro-acoustic genre of Thomas Havlik and be-muvi. http://velak.klingt.org; http://soundleak.org; http://adamdonovan.net; http://klug.klingt.org
