With their first song Thou Shalt Always Kill, dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip created one of the few hard tunes which will remain from the noughties and another Indie legend: their song was on MySpace just 24 hours when numerous clicks brought the two musicians into the awkward situation of very quickly producing a music video and concluding a record label deal.
Several years later, dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip are now ready with their third album in the meantime and even extend their Indie/hip-hop range a bit further. Repent Replenish Repeat is their most multifaceted work so far, and it lives on beats as sharp as knives, dark string arrangements and the familiar defiant-naïve lyrics by Scroobius Pip. Simultaneously bombastic and sparse, and always at the edge of madness, this crude mixture distinguishes the guys from England and puts their shows into a class all their own.
