Doris Uhlich
Verfassung
Folk dance forms groups. In the 15-minute miniature work Verfassung, Doris Uhlich and four of her friends investigate the community feeling that emerges in folk dance. What feelings of being connected with one another and what sort of intimacy develop through holding hands in folk dance? Do these codes still work today? The group holds hands and dances a formation: it introduces the law of the community and attempts to understand what community feels like. Verfassung is also suited to be used within one’s own four walls; the only ingredients needed are people and a pot plant. www.dorisuhlich.at
