Simon Mayer

Monkeymind is a Buddhist term that designates a restless, moody, inventive, and creative spirit. In his concert performance, Simon Mayer – himself a former member of the ballet of the Viennese State Opera, performing country chap, and artistic director of the art festival Spiel [Game] on the organic farm Schlossergütl in Upper Austria – slips into the role of the Monkeymind. The strange eccentric is fighting desperately to be understood. He tries to narrate something very important in a comic and touching way and to figure out the essence of all things.
