The sound:frame festival for audiovisual expressions again plays both brut im Künstlerhaus floors and, entitled «collective», will be focusing on collective performances in 2013. International and local bands and musicians, such as the Uphigh Collective, Lylit, Fatima & Alexander Nut, Ngoc Lan, Fatoosan & Mikigold, create with visualists new audiovisual collectives and live acts, in which the audience also especially plays an important part. Genres such as hip-hop, jazz, house, future beats, or trap meet projections, mapping installations, and other various live visuals by florence to, Tagtool, Bildwerk, and many others.
In 2013, sound:frame «collective» will be examining networks, artists‘ collectives, interdisciplinary team work, and international collaboration via live performances, an exhibition and panel discussions. sound:frame also regards itself as such a collective, one that functions both compactly as a team and as a global community. How do such combinations influence the conceptual and artistic analysis? Which role can a festival play for a city’s collective developments and also at an international level?
